Maybe a bakery or other confectionery… overall a very enjoyable tour. My only recommendation, (after having experienced many food tours through the US and outside of the US) is that there needs to be 1 more stop on the tour. Pick everything up at a rock-walled counter topped with oysters on ice, and then relax: Theres mellow guitar. The portions and quality of the fish and seafood was top quality, as were the local beers. Youll receive a text when your food is ready. Fully wheelchair and stroller accessible upon request. Participants will be asked to traverse some uneven sidewalks, walk up a staircase of 6 steps, and walk down two staircases (24 steps total). The food and beverage part of the tour was excellent. 1.5 easy miles of well-paced walking, including some opportunities to sit and catch the shade when sunny. Activities showcase Maine’s culinary scene and colorful history on the land and on the water. It other parts of the tour we had to walk quite a way in the rain. You will make new friends on a leisurely stroll visiting 4-7 locations, depending upon your tour. We were sitting outside under a tent with plastic sides. Unfortunately the day of our tour, ( 6/13/23) was a very very inclement weather day! When we were at Gilbert’s Chowder House the rain was coming down so heavy you could barely hear what was being said. Since 2009, Maine Foodie Tours, now expanded and rebranded as Maine Day Ventures, has offered highly interactive, educational, and entertaining activities, adventures, and tours for locals and visitors alike. Kate was an excellent tour guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and tried to make the best out of an unpleasant situation.
